What’s new in 9.2
Highlights
- Performance – A new underlying technology and architecture has been implemented resulting in significantly faster data entry, page-to-page transitions, and Web-based report generation.
- Usability – A refreshed user interface includes new fonts, colors, navigation techniques, and hover-over text and icons that improve readability, navigation, and usability.
- Client Presentations – New functionality enables advisors to quickly and easily create, save, manage, and access their client presentations. Enhancements include new search and filtering capabilities, the ability to select and arrange reports, new presentation templates, and a new display mode for users of the desktop platform.
- Integration options – Profiles now integrates with Ebix’s SmartOffice CRM application (formally E-Z Data) and Morningstar Advisor Workstation Enterprise Edition (for Enterprise clients only) – these are in addition to Profiles’ existing integration with Albridge Solutions, giving advisors a number of data integration options.
- Roth conversion concept calculator – With the income limit on participants in Roth IRAs disappearing permanently in 2010, Profiles Professional v9.2 is ready to help advisors introduce their high net worth clients to Roth IRAs. In light of the market downturn, tax-free growth during market recovery may help to lessen the blow for high net worth clients who were previously not allowed in Roth IRAs.
- Just-in-Time training videos – New videos are available to help users get acquainted with key features, including an introductory video (Guided Tour), and two videos (Retirement Scenarios and Client Presentation) to help users build client presentations and custom templates.

New system requirements
Web format only
To optimize the new Client Presentation screen in Profiles Professional v9.2, it is recommended that you install Microsoft® Silverlight™. A free download is available at: http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx
Desktop format only
Profiles Professional v9.2 runs on Microsoft Windows XP™, Vista™, and Windows 7™ operating systems. The Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system is no longer actively supported. As well, Adobe Reader 6.0 is required, at a minimum, for client reports.
