How do I get my free NaviPlan Standard Offline format?
Call (888) 692-3474, option # 2 to renew your Windows-based license and request your free, 1-year license for NaviPlan Standard Offline. You will receive an authorization key for the software and a discount code for free training.
Can I still use my Windows-based software?
Yes, EISI will continue to provide software updates to ensure that Windows-based applications are current with tax and legislative changes. EISI will not discontinue Windows-based products and support until all customers can seamlessly transition data files to the Offline format.
Can I transfer existing plans from the Windows-based format to Offline?
Yes. Here are the steps to migrate client files:
- Locate the client file in the Windows-based data folder, then right-click on the folder and select 'Copy'
- Locate the destination data folder for the Offline format, then right-click on the folder and select 'Paste'
- Launch the Offline program and open the client file – it will migrate to the new format
- For NaviPlan Central (Online/Offline formats), the client file can also be checked-in to the central database

The Offline format is easier to use and has more robust planning features. Some highlights include:

What free training is included with the Offline format?
Upon renewal, your free, 1-year license of NaviPlan Standard Offline includes the following training resources: Free live, Web-based training on the Start Planning and Core modules for one year; self-study guides; and training video clips.
Additional resources include online help and help video clips, which are accessible from the application.
Why should I start using the Offline format now?
The Offline format, which is a browser-based application, has many new usability and planning enhancements that simply aren't possible in the Windows-based format. You can start using it now to create new plans and immediately get the benefits of the new application. The Windows-based applications will be maintained and supported for the foreseeable future however, in the interest of providing you with superior financial planning software, EISI will eventually transition all customers to the Offline format.
Can I get Ibbotson asset allocation components in my free Offline format?
Yes, Ibbotson asset allocation components are available in the Offline format, at no additional cost, when you renew your Windows-based license. This offer is only available during the 1-year dual-license period.
Is the license fee for the Offline format more than Windows-based?
The licensing fees are the same, unless you select Ibbotson asset allocation options.
Are there other NaviPlan software formats that I should consider?
Yes, NaviPlan Central is an Application Service Provider (ASP) platform that gives firms access to financial planning software plus business and compliance tools, such as workflow controls and management reports. The Offline format is fully compatible with this Web-based platform so your firm can use NaviPlan Standard Offline and move to NaviPlan Central later, as your business needs evolve.
